Hi, I am running Debian Etch and using the gnome desktop. I also have cups installed as well as some KDE apps. When I go to the CUPS printer administration page I can print test pages to all my networked printers. I can also print to the printers from Firefox and Kontact. However, I cannot print from Epiphany - the browser crashes each time I try to print. I went to Desktop->Administration->Printing and found both of my networked printers listed and they say they are ready. I tried printing test pages from there, and nothing printed. I checked the cups admin page, and jobs were submitted, but stopped for some unknown error. I checked the printer's properties - the correct driver is installed, the connection is correct, but no printing. I see this error on the cups admin page for my hp printer (jet direct connection to the LAN): E [13/Nov/2006:09:02:51 -0700] [Job 77] No pages found! E [13/Nov/2006:09:02:51 -0700] PID 13382 (/usr/lib/cups/filter/pstoraster) stopped with status 1! E [13/Nov/2006:09:02:51 -0700] PID 13383 (/usr/lib/cups/filter/rastertohp) stopped with status 1! I get the same error for my epson printer (jetdirect as well): E [13/Nov/2006:09:07:33 -0700] [Job 78] No pages found! E [13/Nov/2006:09:07:33 -0700] PID 13815 (/usr/lib/cups/filter/pstoraster) stopped with status 1! E [13/Nov/2006:09:07:33 -0700] PID 13816 (/usr/lib/cups/filter/rastertoepson) stopped with status 1! According to what I found on "cups errors status 1" this could be a permission problem. But I have no idea how to fix it. Thanks for any suggestions you can provide me! -- Mark Phillips mark@phillipsmarketing.biz 602 524-0376 cell 480 945-9197 fax --------------------------------------------------- PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us To subscribe, unsubscribe, or to change you mail settings: http://lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss
