After wrestling with SuSE to get it recognized by the 19 in. monitor it worked fine. > > Then tried the Live CD for Ubuntu 6.06.1 as supplied by OSDisc.com. Liked the looks of it and it even recognized the SB Audigy 2 sound card. So went back to SuSE and tried the other Live CD's I got at the same time. Liked Ubuntu 6.06.1 so decided to install it. After the install tried to setup my DSL but could fine only info on setting up a dialup connection. So closed down Ubuntu and restarted in SuSE and all I got on the screen was “Frequency out of range” and could not see anything of SuSE on the screen > > Does anyone have any ideas getting the DSL to work with Ubuntu and Getting SuSE to be recognized by the LCD. Are you sure it does not already work? Did you try to browse the internet? If sure then what type of network card do you have? lspci will show all the devices in the system. The NiC can be seen in that list. then you can check for a driver based on the nic. does suse have a rescue mode? try looking for multiple xorg.conf files in /etc/X11/. An upgrade may have made changes to the system. does yast have an ncurses mode? you might try running yast at the command line to re-configure X. - -- JT Morée PC Xperience, Inc. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.2.2 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFFT1TR1JwGi/ukQqERApGTAKDtAW2g0eyCjjuzzJOoEeQOb8n/nACfdlDb y4LKNzzzj79PoWzw85gEcXo= =pKHo -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean.
