moin moin, Darrin wanted more system administration content :). Today LOPSA announced its first in-person training workshop: SysAdmin Days this November in Phoenix, AZ. SysAdmin Days is a two-day training workshop for system administrators to focus on all the aspects of their professional development, both technical and otherwise. Topics include Perl 6, virtualization, disaster recovery, compliance, ethics for system administrators, PHP for system administrators and more. Instructors include O'Reilly authors ( Tom Limoncelli ), Perl 6 developers ( Trey Harris ) and locals such as George Toft, Eric Thelin and Josh Eichorn ( who just had a book published ). The classes are designed for serious junior and mid-level system administrators, but I'm certain senior system administrators will also be able to learn a lot. There will also be a few invited talks and some Birds-of-a-Feather, like Stammtisch :), sessions the first night. Lunch is included both days as well as dinner the first night. November 6-7, 2006 at the Crowne Plaza Phoenix. https://LOPSA.org/SysAdminDays-Phoenix Also, LOPSA-US-AZ is the first local chapter for LOPSA!
