Several days ago, I submitted the subject question to the PLUG list, and I
have been searching ever since to find a solution.  After visiting dozens of
websites where costly and excessively complicated M$-based "solutions" were
offered, I finally found a free, simple, Linux command-line solution called
'pdftk' here:
