I would recommend "interactively bootong" (if thats possible there), turn off kudzu (temporarily) and then setup the hardware MANUALLY. pardon my surprise though. I am rather non-plussed that anyone still uses kudzu. I haven't used that in opensuse and I long since have left mandrake and fedora behind (mostly because of some dependency problems i encountered).
