The first Linux I ever installed was Caledara OpenLinux back in the 2.2 kernel days. My dad gave me the install disk, I thought it was pretty sweet at the time because it let you play packman once it was ready to start copying over all the files. Who knew they would turn evil? I currently run Ubuntu 6 on my laptop and Gentoo on several boxen. I actually wish there was a cross between Debian and Gentoo (Debian binary packages with Gentoo's configuration and init scripts), that would rule. I've thought about rolling it as my own distro, but haven't had the time. slide On 6/25/06, Wagner, Steven G wrote: > With Betty posting about RH9 I got thinking about my first experience with > Linux.
