moin moin, I went out to the EVALUG meeting at Ellesworth and the US60 last night. Eric, Ric and James were there as well. Ric did an outstanding job presenting desktop applications for the people who attended. I think we saw a lot of enthusiasm and interest from those there. Thanks to Eric, Ric and James for continuing to help. Thanks also to Bud and Joe for coming to PLUG and asking us to participate. The members of EVALUG are more interested in using applications and the destop than they are in Linux in general. In order to help fit that need we've started the PLUG-applications mailing list ( and announced it last night at the EVALUG meeting ). I'll be sending out another mail about the new list. To summarize, though, it's for Free Software applications no matter the desktop OS. BTW, apparently the EVALUG introduction to PLUG came about from Mike and Nick over at RedSeven doing a Linux tour of various computer clubs around the state. We should point other similar groups at the PLUG-applications list as well. ciao, der.hans -- # https://www.LuftHans.com/ http://www.CiscoLearning.org/ # Join the League of Professional System Administrators! https://LOPSA.org/ # Whenever I hear anyone arguing for slavery, I feel a strong impulse to # see it tried on him personally. -- Abraham Lincoln --------------------------------------------------- PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us To subscribe, unsubscribe, or to change you mail settings: http://lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss
