I have hundreds of photo files that I would like to rename to shorter names. In the past, I have made a shell script to do this for some of these, but I'm sure there must be a better/easier way to do it than the way I've been doing it. Also, I'd like to be able to globally make thumbnails of each photo with the same name but with an added letter "t" preceding the .jpg What is the best way to accomplish both tasks?
