How many splitters are on the lines in your home? Are they all 1000mhz splitters? What size coax? It must be RG-6 to be used for cable internet. Try relocating the Modem and see if that works. Really sounds like you are experiencing signal loss. A bad splitter could also be the issue, rare but they can go bad.
