I have struck out and cannot spend any more time on this tonight. Executing the 0.12.0-pre4 version of pilot-xfer results in the same "unable to bind to port" errors, whether or I point at /dev/ttyUSB from udev or the manually created /tmp/pilot. There is still stuff broken or conflicting in the process here. The fixes in the above links focus on corrections for FC4. Since I am on FC3 perhaps it does not follow that it will work for me. [shrug] I am disappointed. If someone has a better idea on what to do about it all, I'm happy to hear about it. If I am doing something stupid with all that I have filled the list with today, give me a hit with a clue stick please.
