I've been using Kanotix for some time now. It uses KDE. It's the only distro out of many I've tried that just worked perfectly out of the box. Everything worked: Printer, sound, modem, CD-burner... It's beautiful. It's a live-cd based on Debian Unstable. If you want to install it to your harddrive, it becomes straight Debian Unstable. It doesn't require special distro-specific repositories for packages like some of the Debian-based distros do.
