One of the best things about Lew's site is that most of its writers approach freedom-related issues from a religious and culturally conservative viewpoint, that is, it shows the world you don't have to be an orgy-going pot-smoker to be a libertarian. Not that I have anything against anyone who is..... :-) I also like spiked-online.com, a British site that has unconventional views on a lot of things (opposing the bans on fox hunting and public smoking, for example.) I also read counterpunch.org, though that's most DEFINITELY a lefty site. Finally there's exile.ru, yes it's in Russia, run by a couple of loony American expats. Mostly humor, some of it quite vulgar, but some interesting viewpoints. My absolute favorite is a column called "The War Nerd", a guy who is into military history and writes critiques of different wars, past, present and future. Unfortunately this is a webzine that updates only once every couple weeks or so, so it hardly qualifies as a "fast news" site.
