Cox is a cable provider. They happen to supply phone lines, but not DSL. I'm paying ~ $50/mo for 1.5Mbps/640Kbps standalone dsl (no telephone connected to qwest) with the internet provided by convergent. Then another $27/mo (w/tax) for an unlimited vonage line. So about $10/mo less than you're paying, and I can call anyone in the US anytime for as long as I like.
