Well, if you wait until 18:00 to leave it's not too bad. An hour from Indian School and I-17 is more than enough time to make the East Valley meetings. Way more than enough time to make the West Valley meeting at GCC :). I currently make almost all of the East Valley meetings in 20 to 30 min from Camelback and the 51. Still a trip home afterwards as well, though. I know of some other Free Software people up in Cave Creek who don't really get involved. Maybe we need a way up north meeting of some sort. I know there are internet cafes in Cave Creek. Heck, meet at someone's house in Anthem... > Blurb to ignore... > It has been interesting to see how East Valley centric views are, being a > Phoenix native. If something is west of 40th Street many people consider > the location to be in the west valley. I live in South Flagstaff, I mean Nah, used to be west of central, now it's west of I-17 :). > Anthem, and people consider it the West Valley. It is not, it is the north > valley. I would say anything west of 51st Ave to be West Valley, anything Anthem is not North Valley, it's South New River ;-). > east of 48th Street to be East Valley, north of Olive/Dunlap to be North > Valley, and anything south of Broadway to be South Valley. It is nice to see venues and money shifting to > the west and north. I've been driving overland between the 51 and I-17 a lot recently. Makes me long for the Tempe and Mesa streets. > Gilbert But, but, you could really claim Gilbert is your $HOMEtown :). ciao, der.hans -- # https://www.LuftHans.com/ http://www.AZOTO.org/ # "Every person who has mastered a profession is a skeptic concerning it." # -- George Bernard Shaw --------------------------------------------------- PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us To subscribe, unsubscribe, or to change you mail settings: http://lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss
