Therefore, this thread is on topic! ;^) > IMO. DVD-RWs are reported to be compatable with only 70% or so of standalone players, while DVD-Rs are more like 90%. DVD-R is your best bet for compatability (my understanding, no experience). Whether that's your problem or not, I don't know. I've also read that RW discs have poor reflectivity levels, which leads to high error rates.
