I really like the name tag idea. I'll try and start showing up, earlier. :) As far as my issues are concerned, the Red Hat RAID issue wasn't so much a Red Hat thing as it is a RAID issue. I just need to find someone who's using a Adaptec 2400a with Linux and find out what they're doing about error reporting. Dennis also suggested a book that I'll look into. The Gentoo issue will likely be resolved by one of the PCMCIA wikis. I just haven't gotten around to it, yet. :) -Erik On 5/1/05, shieldx wrote: > He was having problems with mounting the flash card, > didn't know which device file to use. > > After I found out that his installation wiped the fstab after a reboot, > I wrote the appropriate mount command down for him to use until he can > get a permanent fix at the next installfest. > (the command was "mount /dev/sda1 /home/mount/point -o uid=1000,gid=1000") > > He had already set up the printer but had accidentally "stopped" it from > the kde cups control panel, no problems. > > Eric > > > > great, glad to hear it. that was a nice system he had running there. can > > you tell us what the problem was (exactly) and what the solution was? > > > > mike hoy > --------------------------------------------------- > PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us > To subscribe, unsubscribe, or to change you mail settings: > http://lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss > --------------------------------------------------- PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us To subscribe, unsubscribe, or to change you mail settings: http://lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss
