One of the florida sites has it in ftp and I got in finally (I think it was a fl. university, not sure. Md5's checked okay, and burned copy. Thanks tho. I, for some reason, cannot (probably too stupid) get torrent to work. Even on installed o/s. Don't really care as about the only huge things I d/l are iso's and they usually are available on ftp or http sites. Probably because of dual firewalls...guarddog and qworst nat. Used your mkfs script, still will NOT write to hd from OO.o or kwrite on wife's machine. Wife, a couple years ago, wouldn't let me install any o/s, now somewhat receptive to the idea. Sooo. will attempt to install knoppix beginner level, so it 'auto detects hardware'. Any 'true' install would need complete system, and as I don't have transportation and she has a large monitor, I, being a 'stuck at beginner' level person, cannot bring all the 'junk' with me to an installfest. About the only thing/place I could get to easily would be the ASU IF. Even that would be a hassle with just the box and keyboard/mouse on a bus/bike situation!! Walking even short distances is very painful, but I can NOT feel any 'unusual' pain (just, ah, the usual pains) on a bike tho. People see me miles from home on the bike and comment that IF I had as much pain as I elude to walking I couldn't bike that far!! Well, I am willing to trade backs!! Wish that was possible. Eyes too!!!! Sooooo, maybe she will let me install 3.8.1 at the beginner level. I will first try it here tho it will 'break' my simplymepis grub!! --- "Eric \"Shubes\"" wrote: > I just started up a torrent for 3.8. Nothing more is expected. Nothing less is acceptable! Long live Knoppix!! __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
