I did an apt-get for a package I didn't hav (python-gtk2) and it got a bunch of packages but after the download reported a 'grave' bug with one of the downloads [libgtk2.0-bin (-> 2.6.2-4)] . I once downloaded something and got a grave bug and the package I was upgrading wouldn't run after the install; so instead of blithly typing 'y ' I will ask what you think I should do. I investigated the help page and it says if I type 'i ' it will 'make the bug_number... ignored'. That is kind of ambiguous. Does it mean the package will not be installed? I also investigated 'man dpkg' and 'man apt' and 'man apt-get' but those didn't help. Another issue I just noticed with this package is that it is not an upgraded package but rather a newly installed package. I am thinking that this means if I am correct in thinking that package will not be installed it will not work until I get it w/o the grave error. It would mean a much smaller download if it installs everything else. Any advice is quite welcome!
