If I'm the only plug > member using it, then a lot of folks are missing a good thing. ---- I've pretty much given up on whiteboxlinux and switched over to centos - there's a lot more people working on it, releases are much quicker - errata / updates are much quicker and whiteboxlinux is suffering from a lack of mirrors which makes it a real PITA to update. I like John Morris and what he's done - but the problem is that whiteboxlinux rests on the efforts of a group of one - John Morris and his first priority is the Beauregard Parish Library and he's the first one to admit it. It took him months to get out Respin 2 (RHEL 3 - release 4) which I needed to get installed on a new Dell server - I ended up using CentOS 4 (RHEL 4) the day after it went final release and it's working great - whiteboxlinux is - well, who knows when whiteboxlinux 4 will be released. The errata - including critical security updates has gone over a month from RHEL release to whiteboxlinux mirrors had gotten them. Lastly the problem of the mirrors themselves - he's down to only a few now.
