Any ideas what > might be wrong? ---- smtp - the only reason that it would say that would be if the 'sent' folder - the one in 'settings' for your account to put sent mail into wasn't available. I haven't used 1.4.x in a long time and POP3 in a longer time... does the mail go through? send an email to yourself. does the SMTP require authentication? Do you have to check before send? is there a problem with $HOME/evolution/local/pop/ACCOUNT_NAME/Sent ? privileges?
