As noted on Slashdot(1), Google is randomly giving away Gmail accounts.

I got lucky on Monday, so I now have 50 Gmail invites available. Well, 
actually 49, I have to save one for my wife.

If you'd like a Gmail account and don't want to wait for your random 
number to come up, email me (off list, please) and I'll send one your way.
