I don't know if this is technically possible, though I assume it is.  I 
only bring up a licensing issue.

Note in "1. GRANT OF LICENSE...Installation and use." at the end of the 
paragraph:

"...you may not use the Product to permit any Device to use, access, 
display or run other executable software residing on the Workstation 
Computer, nor may you permit any Device to use, access, display, or run 
the Product or Product's user interface, unless the Device has a separate 
license for the Product."

If the client computers now running Linux do not have a WinXP license, I 
take the above to mean you are not allowed to do what you want.  Though, 
I suspect, the rdesktop.org people or someone else may be able to prove 
me wrong.
