It was very simple for me to set up a perl script which took a street address and zip code then grab only the GIF from "yahoo maps", for pulling into my own tool (web page). Their GIF is 5 layers. One layer is the star, indicating the location on the map, which is held in another layer. The other layers are their logo, and their copyright. So, as long as you are not making money by using their maps (I think that is the rule), you could disassemble and reassemble it, adding the star layers together, over the map layer, and leave their copyright info layer and logo layer in there once. Perhaps you could get permission from their maps source, or themselves to use their maps??? --------------------------------------------------- PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us To subscribe, unsubscribe, or to change you mail settings: http://lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss
