Not quite sure how SuSE deals with grub, but on debian, you'd want to run the update-grub (or is it grub-update) script to populate the grub menu. You can actually boot it from the cmd prompt, but you have to know some details first. Michael Sammartano spoke forth with the blessed manuscript: > I have a frien who installed SuSE 9.1 and he gets the following after > install: > > PC goes through it's self check, then if I don't have the CD in the > drive, it gives me a blank screen with a GRUB prompt (kinda looks like a > dos prompt that says GRUB) > > I had this happen to me once before, but I can't remember how to fix it. > Any help is appreciated. > Mike > > > -- > --------------------------------------------------- > PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us > To subscribe, unsubscribe, or to change you mail settings: > http://lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss --------------------------------------------------- PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us To subscribe, unsubscribe, or to change you mail settings: http://lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss
