My brother moved in with me today and he brought me a peace-offering, a scanner. It is a Visioneer OneTouch 5600 USB. A google search did not reveal whether or not this device works with linux so I thought I would present my findings to you for any assistance you may be willing to provide. lsusb reveals: bmike1@1[Trash]$ lsusb Bus 001 Device 001: ID 0000:0000 Bus 001 Device 002: ID 058f:9254 Alcor Micro Corp. Hub Bus 001 Device 003: ID 046d:08b0 Logitech, Inc. QuickCam 3000 Pro [pwc] Bus 001 Device 004: ID 045e:003c Microsoft Corp. SideWinder Joystick Bus 001 Device 006: ID 0461:0367 Primax Electronics, Ltd bmike1@1[Trash]$ I also ran lsusb w/o the scanner pluged in and the last entry was not present. How can I figure out which Primax model it is? because a quick google shows that some models do work. I was just reminded about dmesg: hub.c: new USB device 00:07.2-1.3, assigned address 8 usb.c: USB device 8 (vend/prod 0x461/0x367) is not claimed by any active driver. so with the vend/prod number I nimbly approach google and LQ Search to reveal that nothing was found in their archives searching for '0x461/0x367 scanner' So I must rely on you. --------------------------------------------------- PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us To subscribe, unsubscribe, or to change you mail settings: http://lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss
