I set up GimpPrint a couple weeks ago on my linux box for printing locally and from my PowerBook. I got it going, and tested, and it worked great locally, and got my Mac to print to it, everything was working better then I had hoped (or previously experienced). After the tests were done, I went to print a webpage from my mac, and where some GIFs were transparent, the printer printed black. Since the mac just sends the raw print output to CUPS, there wasn't really any settings I could change. Slightly discouraged, I attempted to print the same thing from the Linux box the printer was connected to, and I got the same thing. Tried printing the graphic from an image viewer, same thing. As far as I've looked, I can't figure out how to print nothing (white) when GimpPrint comes across transparency. I'm using an Epson Stylus C82 (unsure of the GimpPrint driver, I'm not around that box at the moment) through GimpPrint Driver through CUPS. It's a gentoo box, so whatever the latest stable versions of GimpPrint and CUPS are in the Portage tree, those are the ones I'm using. Any ideas?
