Hi, i have a usb Creative optical mouse. the scrollbar works, i can scroll up and down web pages or really any program that has a scroll bar. but the scrollbar on the mouse has one more function: if you click down on the scroll bar it locks you in place on the web page you are on and then you can move the mouse up and down or side to side and you can scroll around the image or web page relative to where you locked the scrollbar in place.. maybe there is a better way to state that. this is NO big deal at all, but was wondering if anyone knows how to configure the mouse better so all of it's functions can be used. BTW the 'locking' feature i'm talking about WORKS in thunderbird. I can lock down the scroll bar and move the mouse around like I said above. the problem is on web pages only(firefox). I found out that what it's doing in place of 'locking' is pasting the contents of the clipboard into the url, but only if it is a valid url. ex: if: foo bar is not a real word is in my clipboard it won't paste http://foo bar is not a real word but plug-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us does past into http//plug-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us kinda weird maybe Fedora Core 3 has taught my mouse a new trick? :-) mike h --------------------------------------------------- PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us To subscribe, unsubscribe, or to change you mail settings: http://lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss
