Hans, Do you know what kind of audience you are going to have for this? Is it Ed. tech people? Teachers? Tech support staff? Administrators? The reason I ask is that the technical capabilies of educators can be pretty attrocious, even amoungst the ones that call themselves "technology experts." Particularly when it comes to teachers, they just don't have a lot of time to learn the tech, and in many, many cases, the educational quality of the technology they are using is so poor that it's not worth bothering with. In education, there is kind of a vicious cycle of bad ed software being created, teachers seeing that it's horrible, and deciding to *not* learn about the technology because everything they've seen sucks. Also as far as apps to demo, I think I would probably avoid giving a demo of anything that has a steep learning curve (especially if there are going to be teachers in the audience). Blender is very cool, but I think that a tool like that is just beyond the scope of anything that a teacher can seriously use in the classroom (unless they are teaching computer animation/modeling, etc.) I would be more inclined to demo things that teachers are going to really use. If you're looking for eye-candy, Celestia is pretty good, just the short demo "movie" should have more than enough eye candy... -Rod --------------------------------------------------- PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us To subscribe, unsubscribe, or to change you mail settings: http://lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss
