If most MUAs made it easy for people to choose to > reply to the list we could dispense with that. Last I surveyed ( several > years ago ) most MUAs did not do that. ---- Evolution (2.02) can be painful. It shows reply, reply all and forward buttons but no reply to list button. Lists that don't set the Reply-To: (I will list some that I sub to that don't set Reply-To: below) - you have to right-click the mail and select 'Reply to List' and of course, I'm retarded and often forget and send message back to author of last message rather than list. I am starting to 'Reply All' which when people do that to me, sends me 2 copies which is extra confusing because I have to be careful enough to locate the 'list' version to reply to the list. This is an imperfect world we live in you know Lists that I sub to that don't set Reply-To: evolution@lists.ximian.com linux-poweredge@dell.com all lists at horde.org ipcop-user@lists.sourceforge.net openldap-software@openldap.org whitebox-users@beau.org but most of the lists I am on do set the Reply-To: including redhat's lists. It seems as though the more technical the content, the less likely they are to set the Reply-To: My preference is to keep it the way it is so that replies are directed back to list unless intended otherwise.
