-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 For several years now we have used TurboTax online to prepare our federal tax return. It has worked fine, until now. This year they designed it for IE or Netscape on Windows. Even with Mozilla or Firefox spoofing of the user agent the system does not work right. The complaints are flying in the customer forums. In the mean time, I have all the paperwork to do my taxes. So, I need to find some other place to do it. Without experience of other vendors, I wondered about any feedback from this group. - - hrblock.com - They are $29.95 plus additional fee for state. I assume they are good. Feedback reports they are OS agnostic so Linux should work fine. - - taxactonline.com - The are $7.95 plug the same for state. Good price. They are also supposed to be OS agnostic. (I don't intend to start a discussion about tax preparation methods or options. I know many swear by using a real CPA or doing it by hand or not doing it online or whatever. My purpose here is to find a service that works well and doesn't mind customers who use Linux and a "non-IE" browser.)
