I have no problem getting packets all the way inside the Cox network, so I wouldn't expect my ifconfig to show any errors or packet loss either (indeed it doesn't). Still seeing +40% packet loss to non-Cox IP addresses. I also made sure it's not just an ICMP problem. My sniffer shows about the same level TCP packets being dropped (to yahoo.com for example) resulting in heavy retransmissions and painfully slow web browsing. I think I mentioned that rsync (873/tcp) was timing out also.
