you might want to go to distrowatch.com
...on the right hand side of the page under the
distribution ranking look for Ubuntu and click it, you
will then be taken to a page that will have some links
for Ubuntu forums, you will have a better chance to
find answers for  the distro that you are using if you
use a forum for that distro, in fact the answer might
already have been answered. Ubuntu is Debian based but
there are some differences in the packaging and
terminology that they use ....I'm not an Ubuntu expert
(I prefer Mepis and pure Debian) but it is similar so
I hope this info will help you learn more about using
