moin, moin, several people didn't return from the break tonight. One of the items I hadn't gotten to was that Ubuntu is covering more than just x86. debian is available for 11 platforms. Most of the debian-based distros have just covered x86. Ubuntu is doing PPC and AMD 64 as well. There are also Knoppix versions for PPC ans AMD 64. I also covered upgradability, which is something Knoppix doesn't do. Mepis and Ubuntu both have upgrade paths. ciao, der.hans -- # https://www.LuftHans.com/ http://www.AZOTO.org/ # "The reasons for my decision to quit were myriad, but central to the # decision was the realization that there are two kinds of companies: # Good ones ask you to think for them. # The others tell you to think like them." -- Benjy Feen --------------------------------------------------- PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us To subscribe, unsubscribe, or to change you mail settings: http://lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss
