We have broadband and two dialtones (no TV) via Cox.
It's been, gee, maybe three years, and I can't
remember any trouble.  I think one of our lines
went down real briefly, more than a year ago,
but I can't remember for sure.

One of our Quest copper lines was worse than that,
going dead about once a year for several hours.
