If I buy a laptop with Windows 2000 (or Windows XP Professional) pre- installed, it is the computer that is licensed. The license is in the form of a sticker with the installation codes which is affixed to the bottom. I might be inclined to assume that THIS computer has a valid client license for Windows Terminal Server irrespective of the technicalities that you have cited. It is possible that a court of law could rule against me favoring the specific language of the licensing restrictions of Windows Terminal Server and it is possible that a court of law could agree that this machine has a valid license affixed to it. I am not a lawyer and I have not done this nor am I aware of any litigation to this topic or similar which could be presented as precedent. --- > Virtually > all attorneys carry malpractice insurance which can be sued for > (wisely or > unwisely) if you are 'injured' by an attorney's advice. --- I suspect that you single quoted 'injured' because of my use of the word 'inured' which wasn't a typo but is actually a word. --- > Shall we do what is legally correct even if it unjust and unfair, or what we > won't get prosecuted/sued for? --- too deep for me. No, actually I missed your use of the word 'inured'. Yes, I know it to be a word with legal (and other) meaning. I quoted 'injured' meaning legally harmed by the mis-acts of an attorney where the client is legally harmed. I should have just said harmed. --------------------------------------------------- PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us To subscribe, unsubscribe, or to change you mail settings: http://lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss
