Well tell you what: I've had this stupid thing on all night and for the past 5 hours it has been stuck on the 'installing drivers' screen. It really should work; I mean, my mepis distribution loads and even installs (even though I don't have enough ram- 29788KB). It just came to me: this must be the reason that it takes so long to get past the eth0 detection step: not enough ram. What do you think? As it was loading it came to th0 detection and said to the effect of eth0: command 0x5800 did not complete. Status=0xffff eth0: command 0x2804 did not complete. Status=0xffff eth0: command 0x3002 did not complete. Status=0xffff eth0: command 0x3002 did not complete. Status=0xffff eth0: command 0x3002 did not complete. Status=0xffff eth0: command 0x3002 did not complete. Status=0xffff eth0: command 0x3002 did not complete. Status=0xffff eth0: command 0x3002 did not complete. Status=0xffff Any clue as to what this means? This is what else dmesg says: ACPI disabled because BIOS is from 96 and too old. ACPI: Unable to locate RSDP 150.000 MHZ processor I don't know what else to put up. -- <:-)Mike(-:> --------------------------------------------------- PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us To subscribe, unsubscribe, or to change you mail settings: http://lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss
