If you are looking to take your existing POTS line and plug it into your Linux Boxen for voip service around the house, then you are best off using asterix. You could also go so far as to cancel your long distance service and have asterix run voip with one of the many termination/gateway services on the net for your long distance. And I would agree with Austin, Plenty of documentation exists, but it is generally poorly written/organized or it glosses over important details. A bit of googling and some portage groping have spawned some leads, but I don't want to reinvent the wheel if I don't have too. > > > > --------------------------------------------------- > PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us > To subscribe, unsubscribe, or to change you mail settings: > http://lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss > --------------------------------------------------- PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us To subscribe, unsubscribe, or to change you mail settings: http://lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss
