moin, moin, OK my laptop's getting full and I notice that I have 3 different pythons installed, 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3. Do I need all these beasts? /usr/bin/python is from 2.3. "apt-get --purge remove python2.1" only wants to remove python2.1-* packages. Same for 2.2. Neither wants to remove all of it's ilk, but they get rid of most of it. I presume the leftovers are bad dependencies or packages where there really doesn't need to be a dep ( python2.1-doc, for instance ). So, should scripts automagically be using 2.3 and should they be fine if I remove the older versions? GNUe and positron ( for Neuros media player ) are the only python things I've installed by hand. They need to move to 2.3 even if they aren't there yet ;-). ciao, der.hans -- # https://www.LuftHans.com/ http://www.AZOTO.org/ # Knowledge is useless unless it's shared. - der.hans --------------------------------------------------- PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us To subscribe, unsubscribe, or to change you mail settings: http://lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss
