Hi, currently I have grub on my laptop. It manages to handle xp and fedora core(fc3 installed grub..)but not my slackware partition hda1 windoze hda2 slackware hda3 Fedora Core 3 I believe i've set /etc/grub.conf file correctly... default=0 timeout=5 splashimage=(hd0,2)/boot/grub/splash.xpm.gz hiddenmenu title Fedora Core (2.6.9-1.667) root (hd0,2) kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.9-1.667 ro root=LABEL=/ rhgb quiet initrd /boot/initrd-2.6.9-1.667.img title slackware root (hd0,1) kernel /boot/vmlinuz-ide-2.4.26 title Other rootnoverify (hd0,0) chainloader +1 ================= if i cd to /mnt/slackware/boot i see: [root@localhost boot]# ls config-2.6.9-1.667 initrd-2.6.9-1.667.img vmlinuz-2.6.9-1.667 grub System.map-2.6.9-1.667 [root@localhost boot]# if i cd to /mnt/slackware/initrd i see: nothing. i mention the initrd because I've noticed initrd in the fedora section. it will boot up to a point and then kernel panic. i've also tried title slackware root (hd0,1) kernel /boot/vmlinuz and no luck still get kernel panic. My Question: Do I have the grub.conf file set correctly according to the information i've supplied? mike h __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
