The newest version of the Debian installer is great. The OS doesn't take too long to install, and I haven't had any issue with it. And I really didn't think the software installed from Sarge was that old. It's a toss up. I currently have Suse 9.1 installed on my main computer, but there is an issue with my flight yoke and the kernel that Suse uses, I'm thinking of doing: A. Upgrade to Suse 9.2 B. Install Debian C. Install Gentoo I'll decide after T-Day, but I'm right now leaning towards Debian for the ease of installation and package management.
