Like shopping anywhere, one bad experience can characterize someone's
impression of a store.

Fry's has its pluses and minuses.

On the plus side:
- huge inventory
- good pricing on volume items
- liberal return policy
- generally knowledgeable computer tech staff

On the minus side:
- List pricing on most software and low volume items
- liberal return policy puts returned items back on shelf for resale
  (google WSOD - white sticker of death)
- Long check out lines
- Long return lines - especially in coming holiday season

They completely undercut everyone's price on the Panasonic LCD TV that I
bought by about 10% and delivered and setup for $50. I once picked up a
'factory refurbished' cd changer with digital/optical output for $50.
There are definitely some deals to be had but that is not always the
case.

My experiences have generally been very good and I have purchased a lot
of stuff from them over the years.
