Subject: Notice of Proposal Opportunity - Firewall
Security for Computer Network
RFP 05-008

Dear Supplier:

The Paradise Valley Unified School District No. 69
(PVUSD) invites sealed proposals for Firewall Security
for Computer Network.  The Director of Purchasing will
receive solicitations until October 19, 2004 at 2:30
P.M. (MST) on that date.

The PVUSD is seeking an enterprise quality, hardened
Unix operating system firewall for mid-range
application in accordance with the following
specification:

a. Hardened Unix OS kernel
b. Deep packet inspection
c. Smart proxy
d. No known vulnerabilities
e. Department of Defense security levels
f. Multiple network services (DHCP, DNS, etc.)
g. Forensic auditing specifications admissible in
court systems
h. Hashing for encryption

A copy of the RFP is available at the PVUSD on October
4, 2004.  Interested firms may pick up the
solicitation at the Paradise Valley School District
Purchasing Department, 15002 N. 32nd Street, Phoenix,
AZ 85032.  You may also call Rhonda Johnson at
602/867-5169 and a solicitation will be mailed to you.

It is not necessary to respond to this request if you
are unable to offer a solution.  All firms will remain
on the District commodity list.
