Well I do appreciate all the help. I never got to try it out, though. There were other problems and I didn't have time to relearn a new OS, even if it WAS based on Slackware. I ditched it and installed Slackware, like I should have done from the beginning. I'm saving these notes, though... never know when they could come in handy...
