Like I said, because its familiar. Also, because I'm tech support for my
wife's PC, and she could never handle Linux, so there's no getting away from
it. Besides, the last few times I tried any of the OE surrogates that come
with Linux distros they didn't handle Multipart Alternative well at all.
Evidently they still don't, judging from Craig's remark which spawned this
thread.
