No experience here.  My scanner is SCSI and just works.

However, for questions such as these, I use the linuxquestions.org
Hardware Compatibility List as a place to look first.  Try this here:

See if you can find good info.

BTW, I encourage everyone to enter their peripherals into an HCL
somewhere.  It's nice to find places where someone has answered the
compatibility questions for you.
