Yahoodoodle Mail has its own time stamp!! Doesn't use the boxes time. And I had it 'set' when I powered off, and now Knoppix says its 6:15 am..oh, well. This is one of the forgotten reasons I quit using Mandy installations last year. Set it, and next power up, it is off. The minutes are correct, just 'seemily random' time zone choices!!! Guess I will either live with it, or change to Slack or some other installation!!! Then this whole GW (Great Wonder if it will run) system has been a pita since the very first 'reinstall/recovery' when Jim owned it back in about 2002 or so. Mid 2000 machine p3-850 256mb ram, 30 gig, 128mb radeon video. Last time 'doze re'd, the video was realll screwy, 1/2 screen vertical until Jimmy did some weird convolutions to get full screen The video was an addon as the old orginal 32mb card was too small for the 64mb games he wanted. Just fyi. Ed C. ps. don't worry anyone silly about the 'time' have wrist watch, and NO mail access other than web based. Qworst 256/256 ($15/mo) and the 'basic' pop connection...used to be $6.95, now $9.95/mo as they think I need 'roaming' dialup!!! --- "Eric \"Shubes\"" wrote: > Funny, the time stamps on your emails seem to be ok, > and my > understanding is that they come from the sender's > clock. > > You've got a strange time problem on that boxen all > right.
