YEEEEE-HAAAAAAA! It works. I logged in as root configured it, ran the test page ad, badabing-badaboom out came a sheet with text on it (and it weren't no random text either). I even don't need to get toner for it yet. The driver I used was for the ActionLaser 1100 Foomatic/Ijet3. Bummer! I just tried to print an e-mail, to test if my user can print, and got an error: A print error occurred. Error message received from system: cupsdoprint -P 'ActionLaser' -J 'file:/' -H 'localhost:631' -U 'bmike1' -o ' copies=1 multiple-document-handling=separate-documents-collated-copies orientation-requested=3' '/tmp/kde-bmike1/kdeprint_zMEgb4ar' : execution failed with message: client-error-not-possible As I dinked around with the 'KDE Print Configuration- kaddprintwizard' trying to get it to work I happened upon the 'CUPS Server' option and added the password option 'Store in configuration file'. That didn't help any. Any ideas as to what is wrong? I did add bmike1 to the list of accepted users when I configured it initially. -- <:-)Mike(-:> On Sunday 15 August 2004 14:14, Michael Havens wrote: > Well, this time it cosat me nothing to get.
