The man page for 'chkconfig' states the following: "When chkconfig is run without any options, it displays usage information." But when I type 'chkconfig' on my Mandrake 8.1 system, nothing happens ... no response at all. 'slocate' tells me that 'chkconfig' does exist on my system in /sbin. So, I tried: /sbin/chkconfig and got the following response: chkconfig version 1.2.23 - Copyright (C) 1997-2000 Red Hat, Inc. This may be freely redistributed under the terms of the GNU Public License. usage: chkconfig --list [name] chkconfig --add chkconfig --del chkconfig [--level ] ) How do I run 'chkconfig' (or something else) to obtain a display of usage information on my system? --------------------------------------------------- PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us To subscribe, unsubscribe, or to change you mail settings: http://lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss
