I turn to the local font of Linux information, PLUG! I have successfully run many a 16-bit DOS application on Linux under DOSEMU and FreeDOS. These apps talk to SCSI devices through calls to the 16-bit ASPI SCSI layer. Now I have the goal to use a Win32 application that needs to talk to SCSI devices through the 32-bit SCSI ASPI driver. WINE seems the likely canidate. However, I run the application with wine and it does not see the SCSI device at all. Here are some things I have done. - Proven that Linux can see the device by mounting the filesystem. - Added a drive definition to my ~/.wine/config file that points to the mount point. - Set the /dev/sda1 permissions to 777 (wide open). - 16-bit DOS apps can see the SCSI drive under DOSEMU/FreeDOS. I am hoping that there is some configuration step I am missing to "turn on" 32-bit SCSI support under WINE. Has anyone successfully used a SCSI drive under WINE? How did you do it? I continue to google and search. Interrupt my search with good news, if you can.
