it completed after 2 hours +. it ran through one time only.....

You do have to consider that ata tyoe drives are only so fast.

I did check because I thought it was taking a while. funny thing is, prepping 
it for winblows took the same amount of time to properly format it as a fat32 
partition.

gotta figure I guess.
